Exploring issues of feminism, equity, and gender, especially in light of the harassment allegations dominating this news cycle, a panel discussion will be held with selected artists from the "Feeding Her Fire"* exhibition, Shey Rivera, Tamara Diaz, Caitlin Gomes and Michelle Nugent and featured CityArts Young Artists, Alana & Mischelle. This intergenerational artist panel will be moderated by St. Mary Academy – Bay View senior and CityArts alum, Neomy Delacruz at Providence CityArts for Youth on Thursday, January 25th, 5:30pm-7:30pm. This event is free, but registration is recommended.
"Feeding Her Fire" is a CityArts curated mixed media group show that features work by local contemporary feminist artists, alongside new pieces by CityArts Young Artists. Over the past year, CityArts has been developing programming for female identifying young artists that allows them time and creative space to explore what it means to be a female in today’s world. Young Artists responded to selected works and created artwork to be displayed alongside their inspiration in this exhibition. This exhibition closes Thursday, January 25th, 2018.
